Today we watched all of your amazing videos you made for the CNN Freedom Project! Good job! Then we discussed communism and watched the movie, "Inside North Korea" from the Discovery Channel. If you were not here, please watch the movie on Netflix or find it on Youtube in order to answer the questions on your paper.

Be sure to complete your theme and current event on Asia for class next time!

Today we investigated the causes of human trafficking and discussed possible solutions to end it. We read articles about human trafficking found in Utah, then compared how it is an even larger problem for many of the poor nations in East and Southeast Asia.

Then, we made videos to send in to cnn.com for The Freedom Project.

Be sure to finish answering all of the questions on the purple paper for homework. Don't forget to talk to your parents about the film and get their permission for it to be posted online.

Today we took notes on different regions in Asia and learned about regional characteristics of South Asia, East Asia, and South East Asia. We finished class by watching a film clip about human trafficking in Cambodia and will spend next class period brainstorming and developings ways to get involved to put an end to such practices.
